Description: kooaba is a innovative and dynamic spin-out company from
ETH Zurich. We are building a mobile search engine, based on visual
object recognition technology. Instead of tedious typing of text
queries on mobile devices, taking pictures of objects is sufficient to
receive related information about them.
For the continuing development of our visual search engine, we are
currently looking for strong software engineers to design a leading
product and taking scalable search in image databases to a new level.
We are looking for a skilled software engineer, ideally with
experience in the field of Computer Vision.
Your background
• BS or M.S. in Computer Science.
• Solid object-oriented programming experience
• Proficiency in C/C++
• Strong coding and debugging skills
• Proficiency in UNIX/Linux tools and utilities
• Excellent knowledge in Computer Vision with focus on large scale
Object Recognition is a plus
Preferred additional qualifications and experience
• PhD
• Machine Learning
• Information Retrieval
• Experience designing and architecting high performance systems
