Telecommunication Engineer (Operation & Maintenance)

Job description :

Resonsibilities:

• Responsible for operation and maintenance of assigned system
• Review, monitor and issue related report of the system performance in periodic basis
• Lead troubleshooting of any level 1 problem and define the root
  cause for escalation to level 2
• Propose improvement / development of the system
• Update documentation on configuration and architecture
• Perform daily coordination of technicians and contracted resources
• Involve in procurement process including issuance of related
  documentation for procurement
• Monitor the implementation of Government regulations and policies in his system domain

Required skills :

• Education:
  Bachelor Degree in Telecommunication
  Engineering/ Electrical
  Engineering/ other Engineering major that related with
  Telecommunication
• Experience:
  Minimum 3 years of experience in related field.
• Skills :
  • data communication and infrastructure
    * IP networking (Cisco certified will be an advantage)
    * wireless transport (BWA, Wireless WAN/LAN),
    * Satellite transmission (VSAT),
    * terrestrial infrastructure (microwave)
    * telemetry and telecontrolling
  • voice communication
    * radio (conventional, trunking, aero and maritime),
    * PABX – telephony (analog and digital/IP)
    * PAGA
  • video communication
    * digital and analog surveillance system / cctv,
    * SMATV, DVB
  • cabling installation and standard (copper and fiber optic)
• Having experience of managing a small team (3 – 5
  people)
• Fluent in English (verbal and written)
• Familiar with all Office Standard Softwares

Tecommunication Engineer (Project)

Job description :

• Being involved in definition and design of all Telecom systems,
  together with Project Team
• Review and give comments on the engineering documents based on Company Standards and ITU Standards
• Being intermediate between Operation and Project team during
  survey, installation and tie-in
• Involved in installation and commissioning performed under coordination of Project Team
• Follow-up punch list of the project and ensure its closing
• Manage relation with concerned party and liaise with government in case of necessity for new project
• Being a level 2 troubleshooter to support operation

Required skills :

• Education :
  a. Bachelor Degree in Telecommunication Engineering/
  b. Electrical
  c. Engineering/ other Engineering major that related with telecommunication
• Experience :
  Minimum 3 years of experience in:
  a. data communication and infrastructure
  b. voice communication
  c. video communication

System Engineer For IT Infrastructure (IST 08)

Responsibilities:

• Performing architecture development plan and system improvement to anticipate future needs, understanding technical
  requirements, and ensure timely completion of all related activities (study, procurement, implementation) .
• Performing System Administration for Corporate Data
  Storage & Backup Systems in Balikpapan and Jakarta office.
• Performing System Administration for Unix Architecture (servers/workstatio ns) used by G&G, SAP, Centralized Backup, and Oracle database system in Balikpapan and Jakarta office.
• Design and managing architecture integration between Unix and
  Windows operating system in Balikpapan and Jakarta office.
• Providing creative solution as second level support for all
  problems related to Unix applications in Balikpapan and Jakarta
  office.

Activities:

• Analyze system infrastructure and Centralized Data Storage to
  design development plans based on current technology trends to
  anticipate the data growth and future application requirements.
• Define and manage Unix architecture infrastructure development,
  administration, monitoring, maintenance and security.
• Prepare, produce and manage disaster recovery policies, procedures, test plan and jobs of Centralized Data Storage and Unix infrastructure
• Understanding Help Desk processes and solving user problems.
• Trouble shooting and providing solutions.
• Prepare patches installation, system maintenance, and operating
  system upgrade.
• Monitor the trend and analysis of system resources utilization for
  proactive maintenance if need to ensure the system up time SLA.
• Initiate and coordinate all hardware and software maintenance
  efforts required to upkeep the availability and productivity of the
  infrastructure /system

Required skills :

• Education :
  • Bachelor Degree in Information
  • System/Telecommunic ation/Electrical /Computer Sciences
• Experience :
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Sun Solaris hardware & operating system management.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in Storage Area Network (SAN)/Network Attached Storage (NAS) architecture and administration, preferably NetApp appliances & Brocade switches.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in centralized SAN-based backup architecture, hardware & administration, preferably Legato Networker software and StorageTek tape libraries.
• Skills :
  • Have knowledge on Oracle database administration.
    Experience in Windows 2000/2003 infrastructure to be integrated with Unix system.
  • Strong technical/analytica l skills and implementation/ production support experience.
  • Knowledge of technical infrastructure, networking and system operations.
  • Knowledge of hardware capacity planning and high availability solutions.
  • Knowledge of change and performance management
